그룹 방탄소년단이 5월 21일 신나고 경쾌한 서머송(Summer Song)으로 돌아왔다. 새 디지털 싱글 <Butter>는 중독성 강한 댄스 팝 장르로, 도입부부터 귀를 사로잡는 베이스 라인과 청량한 신스(Synth) 사운드가 특징이다. 2020년 8월 21일 발매와 동시에 전 세계를 강타한 디지털 싱글 'Dynamite'에 이은 방탄소년단의 두 번째 영어 곡.

<Butter>에는 마가린처럼 부드럽게 녹아들어 너를 사로잡겠다는, 방탄소년단의 귀여운 고백이 담겨 있다. 작사·작곡에 Rob Grimaldi, Stephen Kirk, Ron Perry, Jenna Andrews, Alex Bilowitz, Sebastian Garcia 등 여러 뮤지션들이 참여했고, 리더 RM도 곡 작업에 동참해 방탄소년단만의 진한 향기를 가미했다.
